My father introduced me to the fantastic stories of Cornell Woolrich when I was a teenager. If I remember right, the first book I read was Deadline at Dawn. I remember thinking how clever it was that the chapters had little pictures of clocks instead of chapter numbers. This started a lifetime love of Woolrich's writing. It took me decades, but I eventually tracked down a copy of every short story Woolrich ever wrote. Many of them were published in long-dead pulp magazines and have not been anthologized. Complicating the quest is the fact that many of the stories were published under multiple names. I eventually built a comprehensive Woolrich checklist that cross-references everything he wrote, including what names are the same story. I am happy to share that checklist with other fans of Woolrich.
