• Using the Scale control, you can increase or decrease the size of each of the images. Default is 100%.
• Using the ImagesPerLine control, you reduce or increase the number of images presented per horizontal row (this will, correspondingly, increase or decrease the size of each image to fit). The default depends on your screen resolution.
• Using the Scroller control on the right edge of the window, you can scroll the entire window up or down to view thumbnails that are currently "off the page."
• Hovering over any image with the mouse will cause the attribution for that image to appear in the upper left corner of the image.

Actions Leading to Filtering:

• For any image for which you can eliminate the variety as the possible attribution you are seeking, left-singleclick the image. This will result a red X being marked over the image, showing you that you have eliminated it as a candidate.
• If you change your mind about whether an image should have a Red X, just left-singleclick it again and the Red X will be removed.
• For any variety for which you want to see the usual full set of images, right-singleclick the image and the standard window showing all the photographs of that variety will appear.
• Clicking the "Clear" button will clear all the Red X's present.
• Clicking the "Close" button will close the Thumbnail Filtering window, and apply a Filter This One filter in turn to every variety on which you have placed a Red X (therefore, they can be reversed one at a time using the Remove Last Filter button if you wish).
• Clicking the "Cancel" button will close the Thumbnail Filtering window, and discard any Red X's you placed leaving the database filtering unchanged.

Notes:

• It is possible for you to select viewing of Thumbnails which don't exist. For example, you could ask for Thumbnails of DDOs on coins that are not DDOs, or you could ask for Thumbnails of Engraved Leaves for coins that date after 1869. If you do this, you will get a blue box instead of a Thumbnail photo. The blue box will not be clickable for adding a Red X, but right-clicking will bring up the full variety window and hovering will show you the attribution.
• Thumbnails use a lot of memory, so there is a restriction on the maximum number of database entries that can be active when Thumbnails are requested. This maximum is 50 active entries. For that reason, it is important to take the initial step of Filtering the database down to a maximum of 50 visible entries. If you try to activate Thumbnails with more than 50 active entries, you'll see a pop-up dialog box reminding you that you have exceeded the maximum number of active database entries.
